I work at Bel USA as General Ledger Accountant - SAP, at Elk Grove Village (Chicago). I am responsible for accounting for Bel USA subsidiary and its plant in Leitchfield which produces Minibabybel ® and Laughing Cow ®, for the United States. In everyday life, I’ve got lots of contacts with US marketing for the monitoring of advertising and consumer promotions; with the departments of management control, accounting and the plant management concerning staff expenses, stock and monitoring of monthly closing and finally the Group departments of taxation, cash (monitoring of cash for the US zone and of raw materials cover), and consolidation (monthly reporting). My job requires knowing how to go for the essential to increase efficiency, to have a synthetic mind and a very good knowledge of Group standards and IFRS. But above and it is essential to maintain spirit of curiosity!

I chose to join Bel because it’s a Group both familial and international and it has a “sympathy” capital. Furthermore, working in a small consolidation team (3 people) means that all the subjects can be followed. Also, the great financial health of the Group, allowed Bel to grow externally or internally, which could give more than interesting topics in consolidation. It's a Group where you can be asked to work with every level of management. People are very easy to approach, and Bel Brands USA invites us to lots of events (hockey matches, games, etc.), that bring people together.
