Group Manager, Western Europe
After studying geography and then marketing, I began my marketing career in the coffee sector, followed by the leisure sector. I returned to consumer goods when I joined Bel, which offered the opportunity of working with all marketing mix categories at a company where the brand culture is strong and consumer satisfaction is at the heart of its growth. I'm now the Group Manager for the Mini Babybel®, Kiri® and specialty brands for Western Europe. I manage a four-member team, and we work closely with the teams in each country, as well as with the production units and the R&D department on projects related to innovation, communication, packaging and other matters.

Because my position is a European one, I work on numerous projects with a variety of people at Bel. Everybody applies himself, and everybody sets ambitious goals to contribute directly to the company's growth. It's this involvement and abundance that makes marketing at Bel so exciting. Moreover, the company offers real advancement prospects for its productive employees. Bel knows how to adapt to markets, offer consumers new products and innovate. It's why I'm focused on developing my skills and broadening my experience to seize new opportunities in the future within this perpetually changing group.

To succeed in marketing, you have to be passionate about your job and you have to manage your career like a product. Knowing how to assess your performance to advance and reach your goal is just as important as setting goals.

Bel's brands participate in a positive way to societal challenges in the countries where we operate. In the UK, Mini Babybel® is a sponsor of Red Nose Day, a national event aimed at raising money to fight poverty and help disadvantaged children. Through this partnership, the Bel UK team contributes to an effort that reflects the values of our brand. In 2009, everybody got involved, and we collected more than 305,000 pounds sterling for Red Nose Day. I'm very proud of that effort, which further enhanced our team spirit.
