Marketing General Manager Bel China & korea

After graduating from a business school, I worked as an export manager for various SMEs producing fast-moving consumer goods. I joined Bel in 2002 as regional Manager of the Caribbean, Latin American and Indian and Pacific Ocean regions. I then moved to Shanghai to set up the Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) and Korean subsidiaries. I was responsible for defining the marketing and business strategy, supervising the plans implemented and was in charge of the intercultural management of my teams and our local partners. My tasks also included managing P&L, reporting to headquarters as well as other aspects related to the subsidiary. I was also in charge of representing the Group for entities ( French and European Chambers of Commerce). In order to find solutions that successfully address very different markets, creativity and adaptability are necessary. And, when dealing with a “start-up” situation, one must also know how to manage priorities.

I joined the Group for the likability capital of its brands and its international focus. Later, I discovered how teams are empowered and given autonomy. At Bel, each employee has the potential to make a major impact on the business direction of a multinational company that has managed to conserve its entrepreneurial and family-oriented spirit. This entrepreneurial spirit suits me just fine by the way!

I’m certainly proud of having successfully settled in China, a country that is different from France in so many ways. However, I’m most proud of tackling this adventure of building the foundation for Bel to do business in China and launching The Laughing Cow® in such an incredibly fascinating country.
