Vania Zapalski

Industrial Controller, Western Europe

After working as sales and marketing controller and an SAP project manager at Danone from 2000 to 2006, I took a position at Bel as a sales controller for the Asia Pacific region at the end of 2009. Since 2010, I've moved to industrial control for Western Europe. Having worked a long time in marketing, this new position has given me a greater understanding of Bel's manufacturing capabilities and a broader, more complete view of the group. The various positions I've held throughout my career are linked by a common thread: To find the appropriate and effective solution, always stay close to the business and never lose sight of it.

Bel's structure is what inspired me to join the company. It's on a human scale, a place where entrepreneurship is of key importance. Here, each person has a place for contributing to the company's development. It's a family-like company, where autonomy and innovation are key values.

I participated in an ambitious Bel project to come up with an innovative product for meeting the needs and pocketbooks of consumers with low purchasing power. This groundbreaking innovation resulted from the work of a cross-sector team that united a diverse array of skills, from finance and business development, to manufacturing and marketing. Personally and professionally, it was a very enriching experience. And I think this ambitious project will make a positive contribution to Bel's international growth.
